Applications Analyst, Information Technology

 Job Purpose:

Design, install, maintain, and modify SAP and business applications. Identify and analyse user requirements and recommend appropriate applications or modifications/enhancement to the previous applications. Develop and maintain standards of project planning and all applications and systems documentation.

 Key Accountabilities:

  • Design and support throughout the phase of deployment and implementation of new IT SAP and Business applications.
  • Creates manuals, policies and procedures and publishes guidelines for proper use of the applications.
  • Investigate user problems and needs, identify their source, and determine possible solutions.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, installation, and testing of applications software.
  • Contribute through code/algorithm development and other means, for the development of tools and interfaces between application programs and for the development of debugging programs.
  • Explore, recommend and install new applications.
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
  • Document application problems and resolutions for future reference.
  • Assist personnel of other departments as an application analyst
  • Perform the installation, maintenance and audit requirement of applications and its related integration systems.
  • Assists in developing and monitoring performance targets for the all business applications
  • Analyses application development needs and coordinates with vendors for the implementation of application changes or solution installations, as well as upgrades or conversions.
  • Analyses the impact of applying data systems to the areas of concern and from there, provide recommendations on whether to upgrade to a different or same system or not.
  • Implement application changes through automation, process change, management solutions and training.
  • Defines and implements procedures for releasing products throughout the whole product life cycles
  • Keeps himself abreast of trends and developments in IT systems and applications.
  • Conduct diagnostic investigations of program errors and implement or recommend solutions or methodologies for resolution.

 Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • 0-2  years of experience
