HR Consultant


 Job Purpose:

Provide in-depth analysis and benchmarking across all areas of Human Recourses in order to provide Management with the required data and recommendations to make necessary decisions.

 Key Accountabilities:

  • Analyse data on manpower requirements and workforce demographics in order to highlight trends and patterns.
  • Assess departmental manning levels and makes recommendations on required headcount to ensure continuous smooth operations.
  • Leads and plans the development of job descriptions for all departments to ensure that jobs are clearly and accurately defined.
  • Ensure that evaluated jobs are correctly mapped on the grade structure and that they receive the appropriate salary and benefits packages in order to ensure attraction and retention of talent.
  • Ensure that all data related to organisation charts, manpower planning, job descriptions and evaluations are uploaded correctly and continuously updated in HR database so that it can be retrieved by other functions for use in their processes.
  • Review company compensation and benefits and benchmark against industry leads.
  • Ensure the business processes and work activities, relevant to position, are executed in compliance with SASREF policy, procedures and best practice to achieve the business objectives in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Lead, motivate, develop and assess the assigned team to achieve business objectives and grow capability.
  • Take responsibility for the successful and timely completion of human resource related projects.
  • Conduct HR research, track and analyze metrics and suggest insight to improve decision making.
  • Create and design plans for applying new techniques for driving change in HR processes.
  • Advise Employee Care about any recurring issues and problems.
  • Provides consulting and advisory services where the highest level of professional expertise is necessary to provide solutions to the most complex HR issues.



Workplace (WPS) and Process (PSM) Safety:

  • Ensure that measures to protect personal safety and well-being are always in place and that personal actions do not jeopardize the safety and well-being of others.
  • Adhere strictly to all IOWs, Safe Operating Procedures, and Safe Work Instructions - thus preventing potential WPS and PSM incidents at all times.
  • Always comply with the SASREF HSE Policy, the 5 Safety Principles and 12 Golden Safety Rules.

  • No personal injury or injury to a third party.
  • No WPS or PSM incident caused.

 Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Human Recourses or equivalent
  • 15 years of relevant experience
