Network Analyst, Information Technology

 Job Purpose:

Execute day-to-day operational and L2 maintenance tasks of IT network infrastructure related to Routing, Switching, Wireless, Cisco L2, L3 and Nexus switches, Voice gateways, Contact Center and Collaboration technologies.

 Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage Cisco products including network switches, routers, prime infrastructure and wireless. 
  • Monitors and maintains network switches, routers, prime infrastructure and wireless.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
  • Review, maintain & manage Cisco collaboration system including Call Managers, Unity Connection, Contact Center, WebEx
  • Analyze network incidents and problems, identify risks, provide recommendations, and implement solutions.
  • Liaises with staff and vendors, resolves problems, ensures network / system functionality, documents and communicates solutions and performs standard changes according to documented procedures
  •  Provides orientation related to network infrastructure and demonstrates and train staff in the use of network resources
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of protocols, and standards such as Ethernet, LAN, WAN, VoIP, DSL, TCP/IP, T1, 802.11x and Fibre Optics
  • Demonstrates knowledge of VMWare and server virtualization administration
  • Provide network-level support of operating systems, hardware and software tools including installation, configuration, maintenance and support of these systems.
  • Installation, maintenance of hardware for local area (LAN) and wireless networks including wireless controllers and access points
  • Installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links
  • Respond to incoming calls, SNMP alarms and e-mails regarding network issues
  • Work with vendors and carriers during problem analysis/resolution as required.
  • Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex network problems, and recommend and implement corrective hardware and software solutions
  • Execute the assigned tasks to support Infrastructure systems project implementation

 Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • 0-2  years of experience
